Sports & Recreation
Sport and Recreation plays an important role in the life of the Institute and all of our students have the opportunity to get involved with any of our 30 sports clubs and 20 academic and cultural societies, which strive to offer a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities. WIT has a tremendous sporting heritage and clubs such as the GAA club, soccer club, rugby club, basketball club and athletics club have achieved outstanding results over the years and continue to do so.
WIT Sport & Recreation Department offers a very attractive and extensive Sports Scholarship Programme and with the first phase of our new Carriganore Sports Complex being ready for September 2009 the future is bright for all of sporting students and clubs.
The Clubs & Societies Office organises Sport & Recreation in WIT and it is located on the Cork Road Campus, open 9 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday; our door is always open to assist students with all of their sporting and recreational needs here in WIT.
