West Campus Sports Development - Project Update

The project is now well underway and is being carried out on a phased basis from July 2007 to 2011.  To date phase one of the project is nearing completion and sections of phase two have also commenced.

Phase 1 (completed*)

1.  3 Sand Based Flood Lit Pitches *
2.  Preparation of All-Weather Pitch *
3.  Renovate Old Farm Buildings into workshop/storage units

Phase 2

1.  All-Weather Pitch (foundation is in place)
2.  Fencing of Site *
3.  Sports Pavilion (Dressing Rooms, Offices etc)

Phase 3 (work to begin in 2009 to be complete in 2011)

1. Multi-Purpose Sports Hall

Phase 4 (work to begin in 2010)

1. Athletics Track/Facilities

The delivery of the above within the specified time-scales will depend on the level of funding available. The entire project will be financed by Campus Services and external funding sources i.e. grants etc.
