Spar Manor Village made it to the final of the prestigious industry event - Best in Fresh Awards 2010 - held recently in the Four Seasons Hotel, Dublin. The awards are organised by retail industry magazine Checkout and sponsored by Glanbia, and seek to recognise and reward those retailers that set the highest of standards when it comes to fresh food offerings.

Carriganore Sports Campus Open Day

Carriganore Sports Campus will officially open on Tuesday February 23rd 2010, from 11am to 3pm. The complex boasts three sand based flood lit pitches, a meeting room and office space on the ground floor with a viewing balcony and open area on the first floor.

Update on Carriganore

With the opening of the new city by pass and the final section of the outer ring road, WIT will have its new entrance into Carriganore. This will be the first step in a plan that will see a new roadway through the site bringing you to the entrance into the Sports Centre or down through the site to the TSSG building close to the river. It is hoped that this will be completed sometime in the New Year and will open up Carriganore to most of the people of Waterford and the South East as a visible part of WIT for the first time.

Live on Campus FREE for a Year - Bewleys Bursary

Bewleys have teamed up with the WITCard to offer some lucky student the opportunity to 'Live on Campus Free for a Year'. Entering the competition is simple you must top up your WITCard using one of the outlined methods at least once a week for four consecutive weeks commencing 14th September.

Accommodation Office and Secretarial Services Office Relocation

The Accommodation Office and the Project Spot (formerly known as Secretarial Services) have relocated to the old WITCard office location in the courtyard area on the main WIT campus. The new offices provide the same services as previously.

West Campus Sports Development - Project Update

The project is now well underway and is being carried out on a phased basis from July 2007 to 2011. To date phase one of the project is nearing completion and sections of phase two have also commenced.

Campus Services Limited has been in existence since 1989 on the campus of Waterford Institute of Technology. Its services and facilities have grown in conjunction with the expansion and growth of WIT. It is our intention to continue to respond positively to the existing and indeed ever changing needs of our student customer base.

Campus Services aims to deliver the best possible (non-academic) services and facilities to the student population of Waterford Institute of Technology. Our services must continue to support and facilitate Waterford Institute of Technology in its role as a major force in higher education regionally, nationally and internationally. One of our major strengths has been to continually expand, develop and deliver services not just when needed, but in a proactive and innovative manner. As a leader in the provision and delivery of campus services, our primary obligation is to continue to serve our growing and diverse customer base, and in doing so, to play a fundamental and central part in the delivery of the Institute’s strategic plan.

It is imperative that the services we provide now and in the future are suitable and adequate to meet the needs and demands of our community.
